AmCad Awarded Dallas County, TX Land Records System Contract PDF Print E-mail

Dallas, TX, May 22, 2009 – AmCad announced today that Dallas County Clerk John Warren recently awarded a contract to American Cadastre, LLC (dba AMCAD) for an Integrated Land Information System (AiLIS).

“AmCad’s integrated land information system, when installed and operational, will further my vision to provide a state-of-the-art recording system, using the latest technology, to provide better customer service to the citizens of the County,” said Mr. Warren.  “The successful implementation of AmCad’s system will be the culmination of a multitude of projects taking place in my office, creating one of the most modern and sophisticated clerk’s operations in the United States.”  Dallas County, Texas is the seventh largest county in the United States and has annual filings of more than 450,000 instruments.

AmCad’s AiLIS system automates the entire County Clerk’s operation, including recording, financial processing, indexing and document management.  AiLIS also improves staff productivity and streamlines office workflow by sharing information throughout the Clerk’s operation.  The AiLIS system utilizes the latest Microsoft .NET technology, providing the County the ability to protect their investment in technology.  The solution allows for remote access for the public to process marriage licenses and business names online.  Additionally, the AiLIS system will be integrated with the state’s Texas Electronic Registrar System (TER) update the vital statistics system in a real-time environment.  This unique integration, provided only by AMCAD, saves thousands of manual work hours per year, and provides the utmost security on constituent vital records.  The solution also includes AmCad's state-of-the-art integrated AmRedact solution for the automated day-forward redaction of social security numbers, further protecting Dallas County citizens.

“Our office released a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the Fall of 2008, and then conducted an extensive and comprehensive evaluation process.  After the completion of our evaluation of more than 10 vendors, the committee decided overwhelmingly that the AmCad AiLIS system was the right choice for the Dallas County Clerk’s office. My partnership with AmCad will help me deliver the best in class services the citizens of Dallas County deserve. The company’s written presentation, oral presentation and customer references clearly met all of our business and technical requirements,” Mr. Warren said.

The Dallas County/ AmCad project will be implemented in the county clerk’s office over the next 6 months.  The solution also includes full processing services for day-forward archival microfilm processing, full service double key indexing and secure long-term storage of the County’s archival records.

“AmCad was one of the only vendors that could provide a complete solution without the use of subcontractors – this was extremely important to Dallas County for both quality assurance and the security on our records,” Warren added.

“AmCad is excited about the selection of our AiLIS system to be utilized by the Dallas County Clerk’s office,” said Ronald F. Cornelison, AmCad‘s president and CEO.  “We know we can deliver on the office’s vision of using technology to improve operations and provide better service to the people of Dallas County,” he said.
