Network Administrator (Herndon, VA)

Looking for a motivated self-starter with a solid background in installation and maintenance of computer software and hardware. Primary duties include installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and workstations. Responsible for ensuring all critical data is backed up daily and secured against unauthorized access. Position requires occasional scripting for the purpose of automating routine tasks.

All candidates should have completed or be close to completing a four year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or comparable program.

Required:

  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn and gain experience administering an enterprise domain
  • Research and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with enterprise backup software
  • Experience with Active Directory

Sales Territory Manager (Herndon, VA)

AMCAD seeks motivated and skilled sales professionals to support and continue our rapid growth.  AMCAD is a national provider of Document Management, Content Management, Court Management and Jail Management software and solutions.  AMCAD’s focus is on state & local government, but our client base includes both private and public sector clients.  AMCAD offers a small business working environment with big business opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Penetrate new target markets to establish fresh opportunities for expansion in accordance with AMCAD’s strategic sales methodology
  • Attend conferences and industry trade shows to increase recognition in the market
  • Develop and leverage relationships with AMCAD’s existing customers to expand current contracts
  • Craft and deliver winning presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients
  • Leverage and expand AMCAD’s existing strategic partnerships and contract vehicles

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4 year college degree
  • 5 years selling into a complex sales environment, preferably software sales
  • Able to attain deep understanding and familiarity with AMCAD’s services and product lines in order to communicate with potential customers
  • Clear communication and writing skills are a must
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes
  • Large commercial, state and county government sales experience preferred
  • Frequent travel required
  • Proven verifiable track record

Implementation & Support Manager (Herndon, VA)

Applicant should have an undergraduate degree and should be a highly motivated, well organized professional who will be able to interact both with team members and clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with Project Management on all aspects of system implementations
  • Analyzing and documenting client workflow processes, training clients and implementing software solutions. Applicants should have aspirations of pursuing a career as a technical project manager, quality assurance specialist, or database administrator.
  • Travel Required

Experience with teaching/training, technical skills, SQL based databases, or project management is a plus. Position is salaried and includes excellent benefits.

SQL Server DBA (Herndon, VA)

AmCad is looking for a mid - senior level SQL Server DBA. The candidate will be doing a mix between production, legacy data conversion and development as a DBA.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of overall basic Database Administration experience for SQL 2000 and SQL 2005
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Database development experience
  • Application support experience
  • Experience creating DTS packages or SSIS
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Willing to work in a team environment
  • Additionally, ORACLE database experience is a definite plus
  • IT related degree
